OC8 New Year Gathering

Met some OC8 members for a post New Year gathering of sorts … and the first thing that was said to me upon seeing my new hair-crop-and-colour was “You look much fresher!” … whatever that means … I really missed my previous swishy hairstyle but with all the compliments I’ve getting of late maybe this wasn’t such a bad idea … have to admit though that maintaining my current style with product is something I’m not used to …

Went to Pete’s Place at Hyatt Hotel where we had reservations … the price was a little steep but the fare was damn good … free flow of crusty breads and herbed-and-tomato-butter that I promptly fell in love with … yet had enough room for the meat lover’s pizza I orders as my main course … it came smothered with loads of stretchy and chewy cheese and was ultimately satisfying … now to worry about the mandatory calorie gain …

As if that wasn’t enough we settled at Bakerzinn for desert and beverages … limited myself to a Peppermint tea and a dark-and-white chocolate mousse … the truth is I could have eaten much more but a protesting waistline and a screaming wallet were nudging my conscience … hee hee … not that it’ll stop me usually … that would probably also explain why everything I hang with the guys I end up spending the most …
